Prohibits the use of electronic devices to check in voters at polling places, effectively banning electronic poll books/lists

Eliminates the countywide polling place program (Section 43.007), which currently allows voters to cast ballots at any polling location within their county rather than an assigned precinct location

Requires commissioners courts to assign early voters to specific early voting polling places within their commissioners precinct, rather than allowing voting at any early voting location

Reduces the maximum number of student election clerks permitted at any polling place from four (previously allowed at countywide polling places) to two

Repeals eight provisions of the Election Code related to countywide polling places and electronic poll list requirements

Takes effect September 1, 2025
