Prohibits any person required to register as a sex offender from providing paid passenger transportation through transportation network companies (such as Uber or Lyft)

Bars registered sex offenders from logging in as a driver on any transportation network company's digital network

Expands existing employment prohibitions that previously applied only to offenders convicted of sexually violent offenses against victims under 14 years old to now cover all registered sex offenders

Requires penal institution officials to inform sex offenders being released about employment prohibitions under Article 62.063

Takes effect September 1, 2025, and applies to all persons required to register as sex offenders regardless of when their offense occurred
