Insurance companies that pay a total loss claim on personal property stored at a vehicle storage facility become liable to the facility operator for all money owed related to delivery, storage, and disposal of that property

The insurance company's liability applies regardless of whether the charges accrued before or after the insurance company paid the total loss claim

Amends Section 2303.156 of the Texas Occupations Code by adding a new Subsection (c)

Applies only to personal property accepted for storage by a vehicle storage facility on or after the effective date

Takes effect September 1, 2025
