Authorizes school districts, open-enrollment charter schools, and private schools to adopt policies for maintaining, administering, and disposing of glucagon medication (used to treat hypoglycemia) on campuses, beginning with the 2025-2026 school year

Permits school nurses and unlicensed diabetes care assistants to administer glucagon medication to students experiencing hypoglycemia who have a diabetes management plan and individualized health plan on file, and to carry the medication on their person

Allows physicians or those with delegated prescriptive authority to prescribe glucagon medication directly in the name of a school district or school, with a standing order that does not need to be patient-specific

Prohibits policies from requiring schools to purchase glucagon medication or make expenditures that would result in a negative fiscal impact on the district or school

Requires the executive commissioner, in consultation with the Texas Education Agency commissioner, to adopt rules governing the maintenance, administration, and disposal of glucagon medication at school campuses
