Requires campus administrators to hold a reentry coordination meeting within 5 instructional days of a student's release from an alternative education program, involving parents, counselors, teachers, and other school personnel

Mandates that parents receive a list of people assisting with their child's reentry and an opportunity to meet with them (in person or remotely) to discuss proposed recommendations and provide relevant information about their student

Requires development of a personalized school reentry plan that must include educational placement recommendations and information about requesting special education evaluations, with optional provisions for counseling, behavioral management, mental health services, and academic progress reviews

Requires campus administrators to provide parents with an electronic or written copy of the completed reentry plan as soon as practicable

Applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, with immediate effect upon two-thirds legislative vote or September 1, 2025
