Allows defendants convicted of intoxication-related offenses (DWI, intoxication assault, intoxication manslaughter under Penal Code Sections 49.04-49.08) to become eligible for early reduction or termination of community supervision if they successfully complete a veterans treatment court program

Currently, defendants convicted of intoxication offenses are categorically excluded from early termination of probation; this bill creates an exception specifically for veterans who complete treatment court

Maintains existing exclusions from early termination eligibility for sex offenders required to register under Chapter 62 and certain felonies under Article 42A.054

Applies only to offenses committed on or after September 1, 2025; offenses committed before that date remain governed by prior law

Takes effect September 1, 2025
