Expands the school district nepotism exception to cover teachers and all other employees, not just bus drivers as under current law

Raises the county population threshold for the nepotism exception from 35,000 to 50,000, allowing more school districts to qualify for the exemption

School districts qualify for the exception if located wholly in a county under 50,000 population, or if the county containing the largest portion of the district is under 50,000

Alternative qualification allows districts of any size to hire relatives if the board of trustees approves the appointment or employment

Applies only to appointments or employment made on or after September 1, 2025; existing employees remain governed by prior law
