Prohibits candidates from filing applications for a place on the general primary election ballot or nomination by convention with more than one political party in the same voting year

Candidates who violate this prohibition become ineligible for the general primary ballot, convention nomination, and the succeeding general election as an independent candidate, party nominee, or write-in candidate

Requires the Secretary of State to determine ineligibility within 10 days after the regular filing deadline and omit the candidate's name from all party ballots where applications were filed

Mandates written notice to declared ineligible candidates informing them of their ineligibility, their option to withdraw, and that their name will be omitted from ballots if they refuse to withdraw

Effective date is September 1, 2025
