Courts must provide each party to an uncontested probate proceeding the option to attend via remote technology, including teleconference and videoconference

Proceedings conducted through remote technology are legally considered to be held in open court, with testimony and judicial decisions having the same validity as in-person proceedings

Courts using remote technology must ensure public access to the proceeding and establish publicly available guidelines for conducting remote uncontested probate proceedings

Applies to probate proceedings pending or commenced on or after the effective date

Takes effect September 1, 2025
