Amends Section 501.015(b) of the Government Code regarding transportation of inmates released on parole, mandatory supervision, or conditional pardon

Requires that when the department transports a released inmate to a transit point (for those with out-of-state residences or reporting locations), the transit point must not be within 1,000 feet of any public or private primary or secondary school

Maintains existing provisions entitling released inmates to $100 ($50 at release, $50 upon reporting to parole officer) and department-paid transportation to their required reporting location

Takes effect September 1, 2025
