Requires the Health and Human Services Commission to annually send written notices to healthcare providers who serve pregnant women or newborns on Medicaid, reminding them that postpartum women remain eligible for Medicaid for 12 months following the end of pregnancy

Encourages notified providers to educate Medicaid recipients who are mothers or expectant mothers about the 12-month postpartum eligibility period

Adds a new requirement that prenatal care providers (hospitals, birthing centers, physicians, nurse midwives, midwives) must include information about 12-month postpartum Medicaid eligibility in the resource guide given to pregnant Medicaid recipients

Requires the Department of State Health Services to update informational materials to include postpartum Medicaid eligibility information by December 1, 2025

Healthcare providers must comply with the new resource guide requirement by January 1, 2026, with the overall act taking effect September 1, 2025
