Imposes consequences when the attorney general finds improper non-compliance: the public information officer must complete open records training within 6 months, the governmental body cannot charge the requestor production costs, and must request an attorney general decision within 5 business days if seeking to withhold information

Takes effect September 1, 2025, and applies only to requests received on or after that date; passed the House 133-1 and Senate 31-0
