Prohibits a county judge licensed to practice law from appearing as an attorney in any court within the county they serve, and restricts their practice in other county or justice courts to cases outside their court's jurisdiction

Prohibits a county commissioner licensed to practice law from practicing in any court of appeals, district court, county court, or justice court with jurisdiction in the county they serve

Expands restrictions on county clerks licensed to practice law to include county and justice courts, in addition to existing prohibitions on practicing in the supreme court, court of criminal appeals, courts of appeals, and district courts

Repeals Sections 171.010(c) and (d) of the Local Government Code

Applies only to actions or proceedings filed on or after September 1, 2025, with earlier cases governed by prior law
