Adds siblings to the list of family members who may benefit from wrongful death actions, expanding eligibility beyond the current categories of surviving spouse, children, and parents

Defines "sibling" to include siblings of the whole or half blood, adopted siblings, and stepsiblings

Authorizes siblings to bring wrongful death actions independently or on behalf of all eligible family members

Applies only to wrongful death actions commenced on or after the effective date; actions filed before that date remain governed by prior law

Takes effect September 1, 2025
