Changes the automatic prohibition on pharmacy license renewal to discretionary authority, allowing the Texas State Board of Pharmacy to decide whether to refuse renewal rather than mandating denial

Applies to pharmacists who hold a license in another state that has been suspended, revoked, canceled, or subject to action prohibiting practice in that state

Gives the board flexibility to consider individual circumstances when a pharmacist's out-of-state license has been disciplined, rather than imposing an absolute bar to renewal

Applies only to pharmacy licenses expiring on or after September 1, 2025; licenses expiring before that date remain subject to prior law

Takes effect September 1, 2025
