Requires law enforcement to obtain a search warrant before accessing or using bank account, credit card, or debit card records related to firearm or ammunition purchases in criminal investigations or prosecutions

Limits warrant issuance authority to judges (including statutory county court judges) within the same judicial district as the applying peace officer's law enforcement agency

Mandates that warrant applications be written, signed, and sworn before a judge, and must include the applicant's information, the specific record sought, the named individual, and facts establishing probable cause of criminal activity

Makes any firearm or ammunition purchase records obtained without a proper search warrant inadmissible as evidence in criminal proceedings

Takes effect September 1, 2025
