Prohibits a person holding judicial office from abandoning, abdicating, or otherwise relinquishing their judicial authority or duties as established by the Texas Constitution, state statutes, or the Code of Judicial Conduct

Clarifies that all persons holding judicial office are subject to Article V, Section 1-a of the Texas Constitution and the Code of Judicial Conduct, regardless of whether their court has civil or criminal jurisdiction

Bars county commissioners courts from adopting or enforcing any order, rule, or measure that delegates authority or duties vested in a judicial office, unless specifically authorized by law

Takes effect September 1, 2025
