Allows junior college district boards to adopt a resolution requiring trustee candidates to win by plurality vote (most votes) rather than a majority in elections

Requires the board to adopt such a resolution no later than 180 days before the election date for it to apply to that election

Once adopted, the plurality voting requirement remains in effect for all subsequent elections until the board rescinds it through another resolution

Any rescission of the plurality voting requirement must also be adopted at least 180 days before the first election to which it would apply

Takes effect September 1, 2025
