Adds officers commissioned by the Health and Human Services Commission's Office of Inspector General to the official list of peace officers in Texas under Article 2A.001, Code of Criminal Procedure

Requires these peace officers to be compensated according to Schedule C of the position classification salary schedule prescribed by the General Appropriations Act

Makes HHS-OIG commissioned officers eligible for hazardous duty pay by adding them to the definition of "state employee" for hazardous duty pay purposes alongside officers from DPS, TABC, TDCJ, and other state agencies

Extends injury-related leave benefits to HHS-OIG peace officers that apply to other state-commissioned law enforcement officers

Directs the state auditor's classification officer to classify the HHS-OIG commissioned peace officer/investigator position as a Schedule C position, effective September 1, 2025
