Requires seven state agencies to identify available resources—including funding, training, and technical assistance—to support peer-recovery organizations in Texas

Defines peer-recovery organizations as nonprofits where at least 51% of operators/governors are persons recovering from substance use disorders or with lived mental health experience, and where peer support services are delivered and supervised exclusively by such individuals

Designated agencies include the Health and Human Services Commission, Department of State Health Services, Department of Family and Protective Services, Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Texas Juvenile Justice Department, and Texas Veterans Commission

Mandates each listed agency submit a biennial written report to the legislature by August 1 of each even-numbered year detailing their available resources for supporting peer-recovery organizations

Takes effect September 1, 2025
