Requires the Texas Department of State Health Services to develop and implement a mandatory maternal health training program for health care providers who serve maternal patients

Training curriculum must be developed in collaboration with the Texas Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review Committee and include evidence-based protocols for obstetric emergencies, TexasAIM maternal safety best practices, and maternal safety simulations

TexasAIM is a collaborative program between the department, Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health, and Texas Hospital Association focused on reducing preventable maternal deaths and severe maternal morbidity

Executive Commissioner of Health and Human Services Commission must adopt rules requiring health care provider participation and establishing compliance monitoring procedures

Effective date is September 1, 2025
