Study must examine trends in child-care costs, future cost projections, and how costs compare to federal poverty guidelines and state median income

Study must estimate the total number of families eligible to receive subsidized child care in Texas

Texas Workforce Commission must report findings to the governor, lieutenant governor, speaker of the house, and relevant legislative committees by December 15, 2026; the act expires September 1, 2027
