Allows retired judicial officers under the Judicial Retirement System of Texas Plan Two to elect to rejoin the retirement system if they resume full-time judicial service after being separated from judicial service for at least six consecutive months

Requires retirees who rejoin to provide notice within 30 days of taking the oath of office and resume making member contributions at the standard rate

Recomputes annuity benefits for those who complete at least 24 months of resumed service, reflecting the highest salary from any court served and additional service credit earned during resumed service

Provides that retirees who rejoin but complete less than 24 months of resumed service receive a refund of contributions made during that period and have their original suspended annuity payments resumed

Directs the Employees Retirement System board of trustees to adopt implementation rules, including a deadline for current judicial officers to make the election and requiring deposits by September 1, 2027 to establish service credit for prior judicial service
