Adds a new category of municipality eligible to use hotel occupancy tax revenue for hotel and convention center projects under Section 351.152 of the Tax Code

The newly eligible municipality must have a population of 15,000 or more but less than 30,000 and be bisected by United States Highway 75

The municipality must be wholly located in a county with a population of 750,000 or more that contains all or part of a city with a population of one million or more

The qualifying county must also be adjacent to another county with a population of two million or more

The bill takes effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in both chambers, otherwise it takes effect September 1, 2025
