Requires individuals to hold a valid certificate of registration to use the title "code enforcement officer," with registration requiring at least one year of full-time code enforcement experience, passing a department examination, and paying application fees

Allows reciprocal registration for code enforcement officers licensed in other states with "substantially equivalent" requirements, loosening the previous standard of exact equivalence

Certificates of registration expire every two years and require proper application, renewal fee payment, and completion of continuing education requirements for renewal; effective September 1, 2025
