Requires all law enforcement agencies of political subdivisions to adopt physical fitness standards for peace officers that are at least as stringent as those used by the Texas Department of Public Safety

Mandates annual physical fitness evaluations for all peace officers employed by these agencies based on the adopted standards

Officers who fail to meet physical fitness standards must participate in a physical fitness program provided by their agency until they meet the required standards

Directs the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement to develop and make available a physical fitness program with diet and exercise recommendations for officers

Takes effect September 1, 2026, with agencies required to adopt standards and the Commission required to develop the fitness program as soon as practicable after that date
