The evaluation must compare Texas's CWD management to other states' plans and policies, national standards, and generally accepted practices for managing the disease in deer

Texas A&M must create a Statewide Chronic Wasting Disease Plan incorporating best practices, which the executive directors of both Parks and Wildlife and the Animal Health Commission are required to implement

Texas A&M must monitor implementation of the statewide plan and submit reports to all legislators, the lieutenant governor, and the Texas Sunset Commission before each legislative session

The act takes effect immediately with a two-thirds vote or September 1, 2025, otherwise
