Removes social workers licensed under Chapter 505 from the definition of "health care professional" in Section 108.051 of the Occupations Code

Excludes social worker licenses from provisions that require automatic revocation or denial of health care professional licenses for certain criminal offenses

Social workers would no longer be subject to the same automatic license revocation/denial rules that apply to other health care professionals such as physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, and psychologists

Takes effect September 1, 2025
