Warning labels must include mental health resources such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, plus a statement about platforms' use of personal data and the addictive nature of social media

Users must verify they understand the warning before being able to use the platform

Exempts websites and applications used primarily for interactive gaming from the requirement

Executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission must adopt evidence-based rules on warning label form and content by January 1, 2026, with platform compliance required by April 1, 2026
