Requires health benefit plans to cover hair prostheses (wigs) for enrollees undergoing or who have undergone cancer treatment, when determined appropriate by the treating physician to address treatment side effects

Mandates a minimum benefit amount of $100 for a hair prosthesis or its repair/replacement, with no additional premium allowed for this coverage

Covers repair and replacement of hair prostheses unless the need is due to misuse or loss by the enrollee

Applies broadly to multiple health plan types including standard health plans, Medicaid, CHIP, school district group coverage, nonprofit agricultural organization plans, and self-funded plans sponsored by professional employer organizations

Takes effect September 1, 2025, applying to health benefit plans delivered, issued, or renewed on or after January 1, 2026
