Prohibits political subdivisions, property owners' associations, homeowners' associations, and property managers from adopting or enforcing rules that prevent individuals from knocking on doors, ringing doorbells, or leaving written materials at residential units for voter registration or political messaging purposes

Applies to all residential units including single-family homes, apartments, condominiums, and other multifamily housing structures

Allows entities to impose reasonable time, place, or manner restrictions on door-to-door voter registration and political communication activities

Prohibits peace officers and private parties from stopping these activities unless they reasonably believe the activity threatens people or property, or violates an existing law or policy

Takes effect September 1, 2025
