Reduces the salary gap between district judges/business court judges and court of appeals justices from $5,000 to $1,000, allowing district judges to earn combined state and county compensation up to $1,000 less than appeals court justices

Reduces the salary gap between court of appeals justices and Texas Supreme Court justices from $5,000 to $1,000 for combined compensation from all sources

Reduces the salary cap differential for court of appeals chief justices from $2,500 to $1,500 below the Supreme Court justice base salary

Provides business court judges additional state compensation equal to the maximum county supplement amount a district judge may receive, effectively increasing their total state-paid salary

Changes take effect beginning with the state fiscal biennium starting September 1, 2025
