Requires public schools to provide parents/guardians of bullying victims with suicide prevention materials and information on limiting the student's access to means of suicide, including firearms and medications

Mandates school districts and open-enrollment charter schools adopt policies for notifying parents/guardians when a student is identified as at risk of suicide, including providing suicide prevention resources

Requires schools to maintain verified records confirming that parents/guardians were notified of both bullying incidents and suicide risk identifications

Texas Education Agency, in coordination with the Health and Human Services Commission, will select the suicide prevention materials and lethal means restriction information to be distributed

Applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, with immediate effect if passed by two-thirds vote or September 1, 2025 otherwise
