Expands the definition of "law enforcement agency" for the bulletproof vest and body armor grant program to include agencies of the state or political subdivisions authorized to employ peace officers

Explicitly adds independent school districts as eligible entities under the grant program, allowing school district police departments to apply for bulletproof vest and body armor funding

Amends Section 772.0075 of the Government Code to clarify eligibility criteria for the existing criminal justice division grant program

Takes effect September 1, 2025
