Amends Section 37.203(a)(6) of the Education Code to change one position on the Texas School Safety Center board of directors

Replaces the requirement for "a member of the state parent-teacher association" with "a parent of a student enrolled in public primary or secondary school who is not an employee of a school district"

The parent board member position continues to be appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate

Takes effect immediately if passed by two-thirds vote of both chambers; otherwise takes effect September 1, 2025
