Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service must conduct a study to establish standards for appraising agricultural land used for beekeeping under ad valorem tax provisions, with standards potentially varying by land location or size

Study must examine geographic variations affecting pollination activities and production of honey or other commercial bee products across different regions of Texas

Study must determine appropriate number of bee colonies required on the land and adequate levels of pollination activity or commercial product production

Report on study findings must be submitted by April 1, 2028, to the governor, lieutenant governor, speaker of the house, all legislators, and the comptroller of public accounts

Act takes effect immediately with two-thirds vote of both chambers, otherwise September 1, 2025, and expires September 1, 2029
