Requires the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to contact professionals who report child abuse or neglect by phone as soon as practicable after receiving the report and before initiating an investigation to gather additional information

Mandates DFPS to notify the reporting professional of the department's findings and decision regarding any investigation resulting from their report

Establishes an administrative review process allowing reporting professionals to request review of an investigation if they believe it was not conducted appropriately based on the allegation

Requires DFPS to automatically dispose of a case with a "reason to believe" finding when the professional's report includes evidence that the accused person disclosed to the professional that they abused or neglected the child

Applies only to reports of suspected abuse or neglect made on or after September 1, 2025
