Expands the jurisdiction of county courts at law in Hidalgo County to include civil cases regardless of the amount in controversy, removing the previous $750,000 cap on civil matters

Grants county courts at law the same jurisdiction as district courts in family law cases and proceedings

Changes jurisdictional language from "concurrent jurisdiction with the district court" to "jurisdiction provided by the constitution and general law for district courts"

Applies only to causes of action filed on or after September 1, 2025; cases filed before that date remain under prior law

Takes effect September 1, 2025
