Prohibits officers and employees of school districts and open-enrollment charter schools from using public resources to distribute communications that directly or indirectly advocate for or against any candidate, measure, or political party

Covers communications in any form, including electronic communications such as emails and social media

Allows school personnel to continue distributing neutral election information about election dates, polling place locations, and poll hours

Makes violations a Class A misdemeanor, which can carry penalties of up to one year in jail and/or a fine of up to $4,000

Takes effect September 1, 2025, and applies only to use of public resources occurring on or after that date
