Raises Texas minimum wage to $19 per hour or the federal minimum wage, whichever is greater, effective September 1, 2025

Establishes a minimum wage for tipped employees at no less than half of the standard minimum wage (approximately $9.50 per hour based on the $19 rate)

Eliminates the tip credit system that previously allowed employers to pay tipped employees a reduced base wage by counting tips toward minimum wage requirements

Prohibits employers from keeping any portion of a tipped employee's tips

Repeals Section 62.151 of the Labor Code, which currently allows Texas to follow the federal minimum wage provisions
