Expands the types of health benefit plans required to cover prostate cancer detection tests to include state employee plans (Chapter 1551), teacher retirement plans (Chapter 1575), school employee plans (Chapter 1579), state Medicaid programs, the child health plan program (CHIP), and regional/local health care programs

Prohibits health benefit plans from charging any premium, copayment, coinsurance, deductible, or other cost-sharing for covered prostate cancer screening tests

Extends coverage requirements to additional insurance entities including Lloyd's plans, exchanges operating under Chapter 942, and self-funded health benefit plans sponsored by professional employer organizations

Repeals Section 1575.159 of the Insurance Code, which previously governed prostate cancer screening coverage under the Texas Public School Retired Employees Group Benefits Act

Applies to health benefit plans delivered, issued, or renewed on or after January 1, 2026, with the act taking effect September 1, 2025
