Amends Section 37.0814(a) of the Education Code to clarify that school district boards of trustees must ensure at least one armed security officer is present during regular school hours at each campus where an instructional facility is located

Narrows the existing armed security officer requirement by specifying it applies to campuses with "instructional facilities" as defined by Section 46.001 of the Education Code, rather than all district campuses

School district boards retain authority to determine the appropriate total number of armed security officers for each campus

Requirements apply beginning with the 2025-2026 school year

Takes effect immediately with two-thirds vote of both legislative chambers, otherwise takes effect September 1, 2025
