Creates expedited licensing pathways for military veterans to practice as physicians, physician assistants, and nurses in Texas if they hold a license in good standing in another state, left military service within one year of applying, served on active duty treating military personnel or veterans, and received an honorable discharge

Requires all applicants under this pathway to pass the Texas jurisprudence examination for their respective profession before licensure

Prohibits licensure under this pathway for applicants whose medical or controlled substance licenses are under active investigation, subject to disciplinary action, or denied by another jurisdiction

Disqualifies applicants convicted of, on deferred adjudication for, or under investigation for any felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude

Takes effect September 1, 2025; passed unanimously in both chambers (House 146-0 on April 29, 2025; Senate 31-0 on May 15, 2025)
