Modifies the exception for peace officers' duty to render aid by requiring the risk of injury to be both "likely" and "serious" before an officer is exempt from providing assistance to an injured person

Updates basic peace officer training requirements to reference the duty to request and render aid as prescribed by Article 2B.0301 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, rather than detailing specific procedures within the training statute

Aligns model training curriculum and policy requirements with the same statutory reference for officer duties regarding injured persons

Maintains existing exceptions allowing officers to forgo aid when physically unable due to their own injuries

Takes effect September 1, 2025
