Deputy Perez served 8 months with the Dawson County Sheriff's Office and had prior experience as a longtime member of the O'Donnell Volunteer Fire Department, Lynn County EMS, and the O'Donnell City Council

Extends official condolences from the 89th Texas Legislature to his wife Linda Sue, four children, grandson, mother, siblings, and other family members

Directs that an official copy of the resolution be prepared for his family

Orders that the Texas House and Senate adjourn in memory of Deputy Perez
