Urges the U.S. Congress to reimburse Texas for border security costs incurred under Operation Lone Star, launched in March 2021 by Governor Greg Abbott

Operation Lone Star has resulted in more than 516,300 apprehensions of illegal immigrants and over 45,300 arrests through deployments of Texas National Guard and Texas Department of Public Safety personnel

Texas has invested billions of dollars into the initiative over three years for surveillance technologies, local law enforcement resources, legal activities, and public health/humanitarian efforts

Directs the Texas Secretary of State to forward copies of the resolution to the U.S. President, Congressional leadership, and all Texas members of Congress for entry into the Congressional Record

Passed the Senate Border Security Committee on May 22, 2025, with a 5-0 vote
