Proposes adding Section 37 to Article I of the Texas Constitution establishing that parents have an inherent right to exercise care, custody, and control of their children and make decisions regarding their upbringing

Prohibits the state or any political subdivision from interfering with parental rights unless the interference is essential to further a compelling governmental interest and narrowly tailored to accomplish that interest

Applies strict scrutiny standard (compelling interest + narrow tailoring) to any government action that infringes on parental rights

Requires the proposed constitutional amendment to be submitted to voters at an election on November 4, 2025

Ballot language would read: "The constitutional amendment establishing parents as the primary decision-makers for their children"
