Proposes adding Section 26 to Article VIII of the Texas Constitution to prohibit the legislature from imposing a carbon tax

Bans any tax on the carbon content of fuel

Prohibits taxation of carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the use, production, or consumption of any good or service

Requires the proposed constitutional amendment to be submitted to Texas voters at an election on November 4, 2025

Ballot language would read: "The constitutional amendment prohibiting the imposition of a carbon tax"
