Amanda Leu, a third grade teacher at Hunt Elementary School, is congratulated by the Texas House of Representatives for her nomination for the 2025 Plano Independent School District Elementary Teacher of the Year award

Mrs. Leu graduated from Plano Senior High School and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas, where she volunteered with Communities In Schools and worked as a literacy tutor for three years

She has been an educator since 2018 and currently teaches third grade at Hunt Elementary

The resolution directs that an official copy be prepared for Mrs. Leu as an expression of high regard from the Texas House of Representatives
