Congratulates Jeanette Newland of Barron Elementary School on her nomination for the 2025 Plano Independent School District Elementary Teacher of the Year award

Jeanette Newland is a fifth-grade teacher with more than a decade of experience as an educator, plus previous experience managing preschools and private schools

She is a Plano ISD alumnus who holds an associate's degree in business, a bachelor's degree in business with a concentration in human resource management, and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction

She is certified as a master reading teacher
